Vietnam War Historical Moment – The Son Tay Raid

This 3-minute clip describes the Son Tay raid that was a U.S. military operation to rescue American prisoners of war in North Vietnam in 1970. The mission was successful, but no POWs were found. The raid showed U.S. capability, leadership, and determination to bring troops home. To this day, it was one of the most coordinated rescue missions by U.S. forces.
